AEM Technical Architect

In the role of AEM technical Architect, you’ll be an integral part of our expanding AEM Practice leadership team. You’ll collaborate closely with our clients on vital digital transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing the customer experience, cost optimization, efficiency gains, and achieving business objectives.

Your responsibilities as AEM technical Architect will encompass leading, strategizing, and overseeing client engagements. You’ll actively engage in every phase of the software development process, including project estimation, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and ongoing application support tailored to our clients’ needs.

Familiarize Yourself with Responsibilities:

  • Over 12 years of overall development experience, with a minimum of 6 years dedicated to Adobe AEM/CQ, including full project implementations.
  • Proficiency in web and Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of AEM architecture and related technologies, including Java Content Repository (API) suite, Sling web framework, Apache Felix OSGi framework, Digital Asset Management (DAM), and Workflows.
  • Experience integrating AEM with other Adobe Marketing Cloud products like Analytics, Target, and Campaign.
  • Solid expertise in AEM building blocks, data migration, and familiarity with Multi-Site Manager (MSM), Language Copy, and Dispatcher.
  • Proficiency in both front-end (e.g., AJAX, cookies) and back-end (e.g., servlets, OSGi services, Sling) communication between AEM and internal servers and databases.
  • The ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adaptability in working with diverse clients and handling challenging situations, with strong facilitation skills.
  • A conceptual understanding of business requirements and the ability to translate them into architecture, design, and development tasks for complex web-based solutions.
  • Expertise in estimating and following Agile methodologies like SCRUM for project delivery.
  • Proficiency in debugging and the use of relevant debugging tools, including skills in TCP/IP networking, UNIX operating systems, HTTP protocol, request processing, SMTP, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one current SQL dialect.
  • Proficiency in web-related technologies, including HTML, DHTML, CSS, etc.
  • Expertise in XML and related technologies, with the knowledge of defining and interpreting Document Type Definitions (DTDs) and supporting architectures.
  • Administration and debugging skills for web servers like Apache.
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming Methodology, with the ability to design and program applications using Java language constructs.
  • The ability to develop Java Server Pages and related technologies like Taglibs, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs), JavaBeans, and Java itself.
  • Familiarity with the installation and administration of the Tomcat Servlet Engine or other commercial Application Servers.
  • Knowledge in optimizing web solutions for performance.
  • Additional expertise in Sling or OSGi frameworks, Java Content Repository (JCR) API, RESTful principles, or the ExtJS framework would be advantageous, as well as experience with Dispatcher or Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).
