Magento Developer Major Responsibilities:
Significant PHP experience, including experience building object-oriented websites in PHP
Familiarity with the ModelViewController (MVC) architectural pattern and previous experience developing web applications using this pattern or on existing MVC frameworks
Proven experience in connecting with MySQL database systems through the abstraction layer (in addition to the ability to write raw SQL queries)
Experience using PHP to create and consume web services (SOAP, XML-RPC) and other experience in implementing data integrations enclosed within the Magento platform.
Front-end development experience with strong Javascript skills (including frameworks and libraries such as jQuery) as well as familiarity with accepted CSS and HTML design standards
Knowledge of Magento development features, including creating custom modules, extending existing functionality, and working with its API
Working experience as a Magento Developer or a Senior Magento Developer or relevant roles along with the eCommerce development process and the ability to create solutions for common questions/concerns on this type of platform
Comfortable researching and adopting new web technologies.
Skills:
B.E/B.Tech. computer-related degree or relevant to the field.
6+ years of experience in Magento development is required.
Experience with Zend Framework
Understanding of standard web analytics suites (Google Analytics, Omniture) and experience implementing these systems
Familiar with SEO/SEM best practices
